Ocala Bicycle Center (OBC) opened for business in August of 2005. It was the goal of local owners, Dan and Carrie Miller, to operate a honest family owned business to provide superior service to local cyclists. Both owners, engineering graduates from Georgia Tech, understand the importance of great customer service and attention to detail in order to meet our customers expectations. Dan and Carrie chose Ocala for two reasons: (1) a great place to raise their three children Megan, Ryan, and Cody and (2) year round cycling in a great community.
Now eleven years strong, OBC has become an all inclusive cycling center. Offering bicycles from the top manufacture in the industry, TREK, we are able to meet all your bicycle and accessory needs for cycling venues including road, mountain, comfort, tri and BMX. OBC also offers repairs and maintenance on all models of bicycles by our dedicated and experienced repair center staff. Carrie, co-owner, has been certified to perform bicycle fits (road, tri, and mountain) to ensure you are performing at your best on your bicycle. At OBC, all our employees are avid cyclists so you can be assured that you are getting advice based on experience.
Owners Dan and Carrie also strive to ensure OBC gives back to the community. Based on this goal, OBC sponsors and participates in many local events and charities not all of which are bicycle related. Some events include:
* Frank Pollack Memorial Ride for Hospice of Marion County held every May (5 years)
* Pay It Forward Outreach - support
* Run for Autism (sponsor since 2005)
* 8th Street Elementary Bike Rodeo sponsor (8 years)
* Dan - volunteer youth football coach (MCYFL) 6 years, basketball coach (Grace School 4 years), AAU travel team (3 years)
* Carrie - volunteer volleyball and basketball coach (Grace School 3 years)
* Local school fundraisers and auctions
* IMBA Member
* OMBA Lifetime Member
* Ride of the Living Dead sponsor and organizer (8 years)
* Florida Championship MTB Series rider sponsor
* Gone Riding Endurance Race rider sponsor
As owners, we hope you give our shop the opportunity to earn your friendship and business.
